Welcome to the University of New England School of Social Work. We are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education to offer the MSW degree. We encourage you to arrange to meet with a faculty or staff member to find out more about our on campus program, which is located at UNE's Campus in Portland, Maine.

The UNE School of Social Work also offers an online distance education Master of Social Work degree beginning in September of 2009.

Two Concentrations

The University of New England School of Social Work is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education to offer the Master's Degree in Social Work. It’s the only graduate program in social work in the state of Maine that offers concentrations in both individual, family, and group practice and organizational and community practice.

• The individual, family and group practice concentration is designed for individuals who want to develop advanced practice skills with individuals, families, and groups.
• The organizational and community practice concentration is designed for individuals who want to develop advanced skills in program management, policy analysis, advocacy and other macro practice skills.
